News: Prizeo Campaign #MoreOfUs
On Monday May 07, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Prizeo launched the new campaign, #MoreOfUs, to support Center for Popular Democracy Action, Latino Victory Project, BlackPAC and Let America Vote. Entering, a lucky person can get the chance to see Hamilton in Washington D.C. with Lin-Manuel and spend the day with him.
But let him explain it in the video and the note below.
A NOTE FROM LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA
Taking Hamilton to our nation’s capital will be an incredibly special moment. DC was an important part of these characters’ lives and the work they did there set the governing standards that continue to this day. From the very beginning, we have been defending the virtues of representative government and the right to vote. Voting is our most important civic duty. Generations of Americans have sacrificed their lives not only to protect that right to vote, but to ensure its expansion to everyone of legal age regardless of race, gender or religion. Now, it is our responsibility to make sure that everyone who should be able to vote is able to vote. Through this campaign, we are supporting four incredible organizations that spend every waking minute educating voters, eliminating barriers to vote, and getting people to the polls, not just for national elections, but for crucial state and local elections as well. Your vote is always important. We have to show up for each other so the system put in place by the founding fathers continues to work.
When you give $10, you will be entered to win a trip for you and a friend to come to Washington DC (travel and hotel for 2 nights are on us) and see Hamilton with me. But wait! There’s more! You will spend the day at a top secret backstage experience that NO ONE will ever get to see in person but you. It’s so secret that I can’t even tell you about it and will only happen this spring in DC. What I can tell you is that you will have proof that you were there… in the room where it happened.
So let’s help #MoreofUs get to the polls for a change. I’ll see one of you in DC!
Siempre,
Lin-Manuel
