News: The April Hamildrop is ‘First Burn’

On April 30, Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped the April Hamildrop ‘First Burn‘, available for download and streaming. The track is the first draft of the Eliza’s song, performed by five actresses who have played the character: Lexi Lawson, Arianna Afsar, Shoba Narayan, Rachelle Ann Go, and Julia Harriman.

Ever the generous man, Lin-Manuel shared a recording in which he sings the song with The Hamilcast, available on their Episode #116.

On April 23, Lin-Manuel Miranda has been named the recipient of Actors’ Equity’s 2018 Rosetta LeNoire Award. As stated on their website, “The Rosetta LeNoire Award, named for the noted actor and theatrical producer Rosetta LeNoire, is given in recognition of outstanding artistic contributions made by either an individual or institution to the universality of the human experience in the American theatre.”
