On April 26, Lin-Manuel was in Chicago to attend the press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony of ‘Hamilton: The Exhibition’, that is opening Saturday April, 27 in a temporary building erected on the city’s Northerly Island along Lake Michigan. Producers said the exhibit’s 19 rooms chronicle the life of founding father Alexander Hamilton.

On April 23, Lin-Manuel Miranda made a surprise appearance at the Easter Bonnet Competition to accept the top overall fundraising award on behalf of Hamilton – And Peggy tour. The organization Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Congratulations!

On April 22, Lin-Manuel Miranda attended the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center 18th Monte Cristo Award at New York City’s Edison Ballroom. Last night the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center honored playwright and screenwriter John Logan, while last year the award went to Miranda.
